STANDARD CLASSES

Public classes are suited towards all students without health restrictions. They have a varying length (60, 75, 90, or 120 minutes). They are marked with a level of experience expected, which also reflects the physical difficulty and depth of information that will the student receive. It is crucial to respect this indication when choosing an appropriate lesson to attend.

Apart from the level of experience required, standard classes can be divided into 3 groups depending on the qualification of the teacher:

  • Qualification Senior Teacher indicates great experience of the teacher, long-term practice with teaching Iyengar yoga and capability to teach wide variety of positions. Those are encompassed in over 5 syllabuses and offer more than 180 positions and their variations.
  • Introductory Teacher qualification is the fundamental qualification. The teacher is trained to lead students in asana practise in one syllabus that covers over 60 positions.
  • Teachers in training Trainee is a candidate for Introductory Teacher qualification. The trainee studies a long-term education programme and prepares for their own exam. They are only allowed to teach under the supervision of their own mentor. They teach beginners, the class is limited to elementary asanas.

Qualification of the teacher is reflected upon the price of the class, those are therefore divided into three price ranges.
